crunch the pixels after enlarging a photo

I have found this as a HUGE problem, I enlarge a photo from my Ring video doorbell to get a better facial that is blurred. I cannot unblur an enlarged photo, but I feel that we have the tech software that can do this. So if there was someway of compressing the pixels after the enlargement, the unblur this would solve my problem and I feel sure many others as well. Just a thought.
